The scientific advisory board will ensure a high standard of research and monitor the progress of the project by taking part in the annual General Assembly Meetings. Whenever appropriate, it will consult the consortium and make recommendations as to improve their performance.

Duarte Nuno Vieira is Full Professor of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences at the University of Coimbra and President of the European Council of Legal Medicine (ECLM). Further he was President of the International Academy of Legal Medicine (IALM), the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS), the World Police Medical Officers (WPMO), the Mediterranean Academy of Forensic Sciences (MAFS) and of the Portuguese National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
